Pay an advance

For some jobs, such as ones that need parts ordered, the office asks for an advance before the work starts. You only see this when they request one, and what you pay counts toward the final invoice.

Step 1 of 4

When an advance is requested

You are notified with Advance payment requested, and the ticket shows Advance payment requested with the amount due before the work starts. The Payment card lists what is Requested, Paid and Due, and any note from the office.

If the office decides you will pay everything on the invoice instead, the card reads Advance skipped — client pays on invoice.

Pay by card

  1. On the ticket, select Pay advance with the amount. In the app it is in the bar at the bottom of the ticket.
  2. On the Pay advance page, enter your mada, Visa or Mastercard details in the secure card form. Card details go to Network International (N-Genius) and never reach our servers.
  3. Select Pay with the amount, and complete your bank's verification if it appears. It opens on the same page.
  4. When the payment is confirmed, you see Advance received.

Apple Pay and other methods

Select Other payment methods (Apple Pay) to pay on Network International's secure payment page. When you return, a banner on the ticket gives the result: Checking your payment, the advance received, declined, not yet confirmed by your bank, or not completed. Use Refresh, Try again or Dismiss as the banner offers.

Advance statuses

  • Requested: nothing is paid yet.
  • Partially paid: part of it has been received.
  • Paid: the advance is paid in full.
  • Skipped: there is no advance, and you pay on the invoice.

Tips

  • If your bank hasn't confirmed yet, wait a moment and refresh rather than paying again.
  • The advance is taken off your invoice: its Paid figure includes the advance, so Balance due is only what is left.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see a pay button?
It appears only when the office has requested an advance and some of it is still due. If no advance was requested, you pay for the whole job on the invoice.
Can I pay only part of the advance?
Online, you pay the full amount still due. To pay another way, such as by bank transfer, contact the office; they record the payment for you.
My card was declined. Was I charged?
No. A declined or cancelled payment is not charged. Check the details and try again, or use another card.
