Watch: adding an asset
Swipe the screen to move between steps.
The register
Open Maintenance, then Assets on the website, or More, then Assets in the app. The list shows each asset's Name, Category, Location, City, Health, Status, Files and AMC contract, or Not covered.
Search by name, type or location, filter by Category, Location or Status, and sort by Name (A–Z) or Worst condition first.
Add an asset
- Select New asset.
- Under Asset details, enter the Name (up to 160 characters), choose the Category and type the Type (up to 80 characters).
- Choose the City and enter the Location, such as building, floor and room.
- Under Status & condition, set the Status and the Health score.
- Under Files, add photos of nameplates and faults, manuals or certificates.
- Under AMC coverage, choose the contract that covers the asset, or leave No contract.
- Select Create asset.
What each field means
- Category: the trade, using the same groups as service requests, such as HVAC & cooling or Fire safety.
- Status: Active, Inactive or Under maintenance. Only an Active asset can take a new planned visit.
- Health: a score you set by hand, from 0 (failed) to 100 (as new). New assets start at 100.
- Files: up to 12 JPEG, PNG, WEBP or PDF files, 10 MB each.
- AMC contract: one of your company's own contracts that isn't cancelled.
The asset page
Select an asset to see its details, files and planned visits. From here you can select Edit, Delete or, for an Active asset, Schedule a visit.
Retiring or deleting an asset
An asset that has planned visits can't be deleted, so its history is kept. Set its Status to Inactive instead. An asset with no planned visits can be deleted, with its files, after you confirm.
The register is your own record. It doesn't raise service requests. When equipment needs PrimeFix to fix it, raise a request under Tickets.
Tips
- Reuse the same spelling for a location, such as Tower A, roof plant room. The suggestions help, and the Location filter then groups assets properly.
- Sort by Worst condition first to see which equipment needs attention.
- Photograph the nameplate when you add an asset. The model and serial number are then always to hand.
Frequently asked questions
- Why can't I delete this asset?
- It has planned visits. Set its Status to Inactive so it stays on record with its history. If none of its visits is completed, you can also delete them first.
- Why is Schedule a visit missing on an asset?
- Only Active assets can take a new planned visit. Change the Status to Active if the equipment is back in service.
- Can I raise a service request from an asset?
- Not at the moment. Raise the request under Tickets and describe the equipment in it.
