Watch: doing the work
Swipe the screen to move between steps.
Start work
When the job shows Quotation approved, the client has agreed the price. You are not notified of the approval, so watch your list: the job moves back to Active in the app and to Execution on the web.
Select Start work. On the web, confirm in the dialog. The job moves to In progress.
When you are blocked
If you cannot carry on, put the job on hold and say why, so the office can act on it.
- Select Waiting on material or Waiting on client access. On the web the second button reads Waiting on access.
- Enter the Reason, for example the part you are waiting for.
- In the app, select Update job. On the web, select Confirm.
The reason is required. It is saved on the job's timeline for the office.
Resume work
When you are unblocked, select Resume work in the app, or Start work on the web. The job goes back to In progress.
Mark work complete
When the work is done, select Mark work complete. The job moves to Work completed, and the completion report is next.
If the client paid you on site for parts, record that payment on the job before it is invoiced.
Tips
- Put the job on hold as soon as you are blocked, so the office sees the reason straight away.
- Mark work complete only when you are ready to write the report; the report button appears right after.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is there no Start work button?
- The client has not approved the quotation yet. Until they do, the job shows Diagnosis submitted or Quotation sent.
- Can I undo Mark work complete?
- No. Contact the office if you marked it by mistake.
- Does the client see why the job is on hold?
- The client sees the status, such as Waiting on material, but not your reason.
