Watch: tracking your earnings
Swipe the screen to move between steps.
Where to find it
In the app, open the Earnings tab. On the web, select Payouts in the sidebar to open My earnings. A corporate account finds Earnings in the app under More › Field work, and Payouts in the web sidebar under Field work.
When a payout is created
A payout is created automatically when the job's invoice is paid in full and the job closes. You get a New earning notification.
It is created only if the office has set a pay rate for you or for that job. If a closed job has no payout, ask the office to check your pay rate.
How the amount is worked out
Your pay rate is one of three kinds. Open a payout to see its breakdown; in the app it is under How it was worked out.
- Fixed: a set amount for every job.
- Percentage: a share of the invoice subtotal, before discount and VAT.
- Hybrid: a set amount plus a share of the invoice subtotal.
Payout statuses
Today the office pays by bank transfer or in cash and records each payment, so a payout goes from Approved straight to Paid. In the app, payouts are grouped as Paid, On its way, Awaiting approval and Failed, with Paid this month at the top and a month-by-month list below.
- Pending: the office is checking the job. It can still correct the amount.
- Approved: the office has agreed the amount, and it is waiting to be paid.
- Paid: the office has recorded the payment. You get a Payout paid notification.
Payout details
Open a payout to see its job, the amount and, once paid, how and when it was paid and the Bank reference. In the app, the payout also shows its journey: Earned, Approved by the office, Sent to your bank and In your bank.
On the web, a paid payout also has the transfer receipt the office uploaded. Select View receipt to open it. The app does not show the receipt.
Tips
- Add your bank account early, so the office can check it before your first payout is due.
- If a closed job shows no payout, ask the office whether a pay rate is set for you.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is there no payout for a job I finished?
- A payout is created only when the job's invoice is paid in full, and only if a pay rate is set. Until the client pays, there is nothing to pay out.
- Can I get an advance on my earnings?
- No. Advances to technicians are not available. You are paid after the job's invoice is paid.
- How am I paid?
- By bank transfer to the account you added, or in cash. The office records each payment with its date and reference.
