Onboard a new client

Onboarding a client means creating their account with the details needed for tickets and tax invoices. You become their account manager automatically, and once the account is ready you invite them to the portal.

Step 1 of 4

Open the form

On the web, open Clients and select New client. In the app, open the Clients tab and tap New client, or tap New client under Create on Home.

Fill in the details

  • Company & contact: Company name, Contact name, Email and Phone, and the Onboarding status, which starts at Lead. Change it if the client is further along.
  • Tax & legal identity: Commercial Registration (CR), Unified National Number, VAT number, the legal names in English and Arabic, and the Buyer ID scheme (ZATCA). These are needed for ZATCA-compliant tax invoices.
  • Address: the site or billing Address line, City and Region, and any Notes for the team.
  • National Address (ZATCA): building number, street, district, city, postal code, additional number and region.

Company, contact, email, phone and the address are required. The tax and national address fields can be added later with Edit.

Create the account

Select Create client. The client page opens, and the account appears in your Clients list and your Pipeline. You are always the account manager of clients you create.

Invite the client to the portal

  1. Open the client and find Portal access.
  2. Select Send portal invite and confirm.
  3. The client receives an email with a link to set a password, and the page shows Portal login active.

The invite creates a client login. Corporate accounts, for client companies whose own staff also work jobs, are set up by the office, not from the sales console.

Tips

  • Capture the national address while you are talking to the client. Cleared e-invoices need it.
  • Check the email address before you send the invite: the set-password link goes to that address.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make someone else the account manager?
No. Clients you create or convert are always yours, and there is no screen for changing the account manager.
Do I have to fill in the tax fields now?
No. You can save the account without them and add them later with Edit, but ZATCA-compliant invoices need them.
The client never received the invite email. What can I do?
Check the email on the client account. If the page already shows Portal login active, the client can reset their password from the sign-in page on the web.
